Common Tree Snake in Drysdale River WA 6740 (June 2024)

One of four Green Tree Snakes seen over the course of an hour in monsoon vine forest along Forest Creek. All four were highly alert and observed on the ground around the edges of the creek, no doubt a consequence of a particularly hot and unseasonably humid day. Two were observed actively foraging before being disturbed, the pictured individual fleeing up a tree which allowed for a photo (albeit not a good one).
